The 2010 Census is key to our communities receiving its share of federal dollars allocated to the city/county. If we are not counted this cycle, it will mean another ten years on no street repairs, city lights installed, city/county water hook-ups, basic road/codes maintenance in our communities.  Let us do our share to make this Census COUNT.

Welcome: CLARKSVILLE TN BRANCH NAACP # 5582

We are pleased that you took the time to visit with us.

The Clarksville Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) appreciate your interest in our plight and hope you will find it worthy of your time and effort to join with us to help rid communities throughout the world of racism in all forms.

We are proud to be an affiliate of the oldest and most effective civil rights organization in the world. An organization formed in 1909 by a few concerned citizens that included members of the White community, Jewish community and other minority representatives.

Since its inception, the NAACP has accomplished many a hurdle, yet we still have a tremendous amount of work to do to eradicate the ingrained plague of racial tensions existing in our world.

We pray that one day there will not be a need for civil rights organizations, but until that day becomes a reality we will be vigilant in our resolved to stamp out injustice wherever it raises its ugly head.

Again, welcome to the Clarksville Tennessee Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Website!
